Some thoughts, and a decision.

I kinda hate men. I also currently find myself in that awkward place between breathing and breathless. Trust me... it's awkward.

The internet and its wiles continue to astound me. I should also mention frustrate and depress me to no end. Did I mention the hate of men in there?

But I do know this one thing: if I ever have a child, I never want him to treat me like Matt treats his mother.

Like... ever.

p.s. Buffy the Vampire Slayer is some good TV.

Mood reflections at midnight to Explosions in the Sky

It leaves me breathless sometimes. Terrified. Confused. Joyous. On the brink of exhaustion.

And I really can't help but wonder about it. What's happened to bring me to this point.

Friendships forged and broken, loves realized and lost.

Bad decisions. Regrets.

It pains me sometimes. But I can't find it in myself to cry.

Maybe because all the tears have gone.

And it hurts how much I miss them, whoever they happen to be. Mere moments or forever, it all echoes the same--empty.

Losing it.

"Did I make you upset?" she asks.

I nod. "Yeah. Well--no. I dunno."

She's walking away. "I'm sorry."

"Don't apologize." It's the only thing I can think of to say.

Honestly. What can I say to that? It's all mixed up in my head. And all I can think about are those scars, those pink scars that spell 'PAIN'.

Maybe I'm just losing it.

Maybe we all are, and she's the one with the right idea, after all.

Something

I feel distinctly angsty.

It's rather strange, because today was rather nice, as far as first days at school go. And it wasn't even 'back', because I switched schools. I like the campus a lot more. Like... a lot. It's awesome. Some of the classrooms are kind of sketch, but I'll get used to it.

I dunno. Maybe it's because I'm over-tired.

Whatever.

You know you haven't posted in a while when...

...Dashboard goes and changes the homepage format on you. ^_^

Not much has really been going on. The Olympics keep me up until the wee hours of the morning; similarly, I don't think I've yelled at the TV so much in my life. Watching those swimming events is just.... insanity. Yay for Phelps and his 8 gold medals!!

School starts in a little over a week. I'm not complaining about my schedule much, even though I'm carrying 19 credits... I'm only going to class on Tuesdays and Thursdays, which should leave me with plenty of time to find a job. I'm also trying another CC out, so hopefully I like this one better. I dunno, the atmosphere at Miramar (where I attended last year) just sucked a lot. Hopefully with more people and a bigger campus, as well as less down time on the days I'm there will keep me occupied and not so depressed this fall and winter. I'm actually quite looking forward to my schedule, because it's all weird 'fluff' classes.... classes like Philosophy, and World Religions, and Creative Writing. Oh, and Trig. But that's just necessity.

It seems to me like this summer has gone on forever, and yet not long enough.

...Stupid leprechauns must be on crack. They control time, you know. o.~

Guh.

Okay, so..... Stephenie Meyer just really needs to stop.

I read Breaking Dawn. It was good, but not overly so. The best part is Book Two, because (surprise surprise!) it's not in Bella's POV. Okay. Done with the Twilight series.

Then I'm talking to Matt about her today, and he tells me that she's planning on doing sequels to The Host?

ARE. YOU. KIDDING. ME?

Not one sequel. No. Two. Two more books.

Why?

Do we really need them? No, we don't. The Host was good! I liked it better than the Twilight books, to be honest. And if she ruins Wanderer and Ian by expanding on them...... grr. I'll be so mad. I think the only reason I'd pick the sequels up is if they're about other people, maybe mentioning Wanderer and Co. to give some reference.

But seriously? I'm upset. And, to quote Matt (roughly): "She's getting out a book a year, and that worries me."

Shouldn't it?

Breaking Dawn!

I've got a copy! I'm afraid to read it, though, I need sleep... we're going to Knott's Berry Farm later, so I guess I'll have plenty of time to read in the car and waiting in lines!! :D

I saw Phantom of the Opera tonight!!

And it was flipping awesome. I about died in my seat multiple times.

So, ALW, maybe I forgive you a little.

Wait, nevermind. I don't forgive you at all. But I suppose it's not my affair if you're intent on ruining your award-winning musical that's been running since '86 with a stupid sequel...

Ahem.

So, anyway, yeah. The stage production was AMAZING. The Phantom made me swoon. Raoul was awesome. I wanted to kidnap them both. xD Christine was all right, she had a great voice. Everything sounded amazing. The costumes were brilliant. It was.... *sigh*. It was just wonderful.

I want to go again! D:
