Losing it.
"Did I make you upset?" she asks.
I nod. "Yeah. Well--no. I dunno."
She's walking away. "I'm sorry."
"Don't apologize." It's the only thing I can think of to say.
Honestly. What can I say to that? It's all mixed up in my head. And all I can think about are those scars, those pink scars that spell 'PAIN'.
Maybe I'm just losing it.
Maybe we all are, and she's the one with the right idea, after all.

One suggestion - "Did I make you upset" sounds a little off, to me at least. "Did I upset you" instead, maybe?

No Cassandra my dearest she doesn't have the right idea. Just keep reminding her you love her, that's what I've been doing.
